Planning approval for £500m world-class hospital
The decision to approve plans to create a world-class hospital at Wynyard Park will help to attract further investment and employment opportunities to the North East region.
Wynyard Park is a 700 acre mixed-use development owned by Wynyard Park Ltd, the parent company of Strategic Sites.
Chris Musgrave, Chief Executive of Wynyard Park Ltd, applauded the decision by Hartlepool Council’s planning committee to give the green light to the application from North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and said that it paved the way for an exciting future for the business park and the Tees.
“This is a visionary project and we are very proud that this civic building is to be developed at Wynyard,” added Chris.
“As a flagship development at the cutting edge of NHS care provision it will help to attract prestigious businesses in the medical and related fields which will in turn create opportunities for highly skilled jobs.
Strategic Sites has already successfully developed office facilities at Wynyard Park which provide accommodation for, amongst others, a major petrol-chemical company, the leading commercial lawyers in the Tees area and a physiotherapy practice.
