Wynyard Park Creates New Company

Strategic Sites has been set up by the shareholders of the company that is currently spearheading the development of the 700 acre Wynyard Park site in the Tees Valley.

The company will focus on developing industrial and office buildings, constructed to a particularly high standard of design and specification.  It will play an important role in helping to develop the Wynyard Park site, but will also be very active throughout the North East.

Headed by Paul Barber, formerly chief executive of Priority Sites, Strategic Sites aims to invest at least £30m in the North East over the next 3 years, which could lead to 1,500 new jobs.

Chris Musgrave, the mastermind behind the Wynyard Park project and a director of Strategic Sites, said: “We have seen what Paul Barber and his team have achieved at Priority Sites and are delighted that they are now helping us to deliver more exciting projects like Wynyard Park.”

Announcements about the first Strategic Sites projects in the North East are expected during the summer.
